Honda Civic Set to Get Major Upgrades

While the Honda Civic has remained a Honda favorite for many years. Since the first-gen Civic hit the road way back in 1973, Honda has nurtured it into the stylish compact car we know and love today. And late next year, the redesigned 2013 Honda Civic will roll into the Cannon Honda showroom at 3415 N. 14th Street Ponca City, OK, 74601.
But, didn't the Civic just get an upgrade? It sure did. But Honda has never been an automaker who stops at "good enough." Which is why the 2013 Honda Civic is rumored to be getting some pretty aggressive styling upgrades, or as one AutoGuide reviewer commented, "an injection of testosterone."1 Following a meeting of Honda big wigs and major West Coast Honda dealers, the automaker has agreed that the Civic is overdue for some daring changes.
It will debut later in the year than other 2013 Honda models, probably not until December of 2012, but we think it will be well worth the wait. As we've mentioned, the Civic remains one of the most popular compact cars on the market. According to AutoGuide, Honda sells more Civics per year in the United States than some major automakers sell in one year across their American lineups.
Which is why we also think, in the meantime, it's well worth your while to stop in an see us and the recently refreshed 2012 Honda Civic. It features a new Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID); 1.6 inches of added legroom; a shorter, more agile wheelbase; and a 20 to 58 pound drop in weight over previous models. With all that, it's hard to imagine what Honda could possibly come up with to make this an even better car.
But stay tuned with the Cannon Honda blog, we promise to keep you up to date on this and any other news about the new Honda lineup. Or, just come down and see us to learn more about why the Civic continues to be one of the most popular cars in the country. Have questions?
