The New 2021 Honda Accord

New 2021 Honda Accord
The New 2021 Honda Accord
Did you know that the Honda Accord has been around since the 1970s? The first Accord came onto the market in 1976 and has been one of the top-selling sedans since then. Any car that's lasted nearly 50 years deserves your attention!

A consistent winner when it comes to safety, the Accord is the all-time most honored in the Car and Driver 10Best list. It has been included on the list a whopping 35 times! Any car that has lasted nearly 50 years on the market and has won that many awards deserves your attention. If you're looking for a safe and long-lasting family sedan, look no further.
The new 2021 Honda Accord is the car for you. Read on to learn more about the new Accord.

Performance
There are several options when it comes to the engine and transmission for the 2021 Accords. Most trim levels include a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine, but if you want a little more power, the Accord Sport 2.0T and Touring models have a 2.0-liter turbo four. This gets you from 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds.

If you want a manual transmission, though, you're out of luck. The 2021 Accord models don't include an option for a manual transmission. There is a hybrid option if you're looking to save on fuel and reduce your carbon footprint. The hybrid gets you a whopping 44 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway, saving you a boatload of money on gas and benefitting the environment.

Interior
The Accord seats up to five people and there is plenty of room for everyone. Ample headroom and legroom abound in the front seat and back seat. The trunk has a massive 16 feet of cubic space, but if you need to haul something that's oddly shaped or sized, don't worry. In the base model, you can fold down the full rear seat and in the other trim levels, the rear seat has a 60/40 split, allowing you to fold down one or both sides.

Noise cancellation keeps the interior of the car nice and quiet, which you'll surely appreciate on long trips or when you're stuck in traffic. More upgrades are available on the higher-end models too, including heated seats and ventilated seats.

Features
A standard feature of every 2021 Accord is an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Another new feature is a rear-seat occupant reminder, which reminds you to check the back seat for any passengers.

There's also a rear-seatbelt reminder, which alerts you if any passengers in the backseat aren't wearing their seatbelts. Parents will find these two standard features an appealing addition to the Accord.

Trim Levels
If you want options, the new Honda Accord has them. The 2021 model comes with several different trim levels to choose from, depending on your desired features and budget.

LX
The LX is the base model Accord, but even the base model comes with an impressive array of features, including the full range of Honda Sensing® technology, driver-assistive technology, including auto high beam headlights, and active and passive safety measures. You'll also enjoy push-button start, idle stop, an Eco Assist system, and a rearview camera.

Sport
In addition to all of the features of the LX, the Sport also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather shift knob, USB chargers in the backseat, a rear spoiler, chrome exhaust finishers, LED fog lights, and a 60/40 split rear seat.

If you want even more features out of the Sport, you can get the 2.0T powertrain, which includes everything above as well as:
    Power moonroof
Heated front seats and a 12-way power driver's seat
Smart entry and remote engine start
    Remote engine start
    Wireless phone charger

Sport Special Edition
If you want the Sport, but want some extra features, you can upgrade to the Sport Special Edition. The Sport SE boasts a leather-trimmed interior, heated front seats, smart entry with Walk Away Auto Lock®, and remote start, in addition to all of the standard features of the Accord Sport.

EX-L
The EX-L includes all of the features of the other models but also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, so you won't even need to plug your phone into a USB port. There's also a wireless phone charger, so you'll never have to worry about a dead phone again, and a blind spot information system.

Touring 2.0T
The Touring 2.0T comes with more driver-assisted technology features, including low-speed braking control and head-up display. The head-up display projects your speed, directions, incoming calls, and other information right onto your windshield. You never have to take your eyes off the road.

The Touring 2.0T also includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a satellite-linked navigation system, and wi-fi hotspot capability. You can also get the EX, EX-L, and Touring models in a hybrid version, giving you the ability to save on gas but also enjoy all of the features of the different Accord models.

Safety
The Accord is consistently ranked as one of the safest vehicles on the road, and 2021 is no different. All of the Accord models and trims come with the full complement of Honda Sensing® safety features, including:
    Collision Mitigation Braking System™
    Road Departure Mitigation System™
    Adaptive cruise control
Lane-keeping assist system and lane departure warning
Forward collision warning and a traffic sign recognition system

These are just some of the safety measures Honda has made standard. Honda offers many more features to assist drivers and keep all occupants safe.
