As we mentioned in the previous header, the new 2022 Honda HR-V will maintain all the current trims of the 2021 HR-V. The new 2022 Honda HR-V has four distinct trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L, in that order. Let's jump right into each of these trims and what they'll offer you!
LX
For those of you that are looking for a simple family car without all the bells and whistles, the LX trim is the perfect fit for you! The most noticeable exterior feature of the LX is its 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights/taillights, both of which car brands generally reserve for higher trim levels. Inside the cabin, you can look forward to modern perks such as a USB charging port and a state-of-the-art infotainment system with a touchscreen display.
What makes the HR-V special is that all trims (including the base-level LX) have all-wheel drive. No matter what trim level you purchase, the HR-V will feature a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 141 horsepower and 127 torque. All indications point towards that being the same for all HR-Vs moving forward as well. A roomy cabin, plenty of cargo space, and up-to-date technology, what more could you want for your long commutes and road trips?
Sport
As the name would imply, the 2022 Honda HR-V Sport looks to build momentum from the LX trim, while adding emphasizing the "Sport" in Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The exterior has an ultra-sporty look, with additions such as roof rails, fog lights, an additional inch on the alloy tires (18 inches tall), and paddle shifters to switch gears all the easier.
The outside improvements alone make this HR-V worthy of camping trips and other outdoor activities. The interior has a mix of the sport of luxury, such as the leather-wrapped steering wheel. It adds another USB port, brings a total of two USB ports inside the HR-V. It also has Apple Carplay and Android Auto, so that you can listen to your favorite songs and podcasts while hitting the open road. Lastly, the infotainment on the new 2022 HR-V Sport adds two inches to its touchscreen (7 inches).
EX
For those of you that are looking for access to additional safety features on your new HR-V, the EX-trim is probably the best fit. It has a forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist system, and blind-spot monitoring. All of which you will use daily. Each of these features can give you much-needed assistance. For example, adaptive cruise control will slow you down if you get too close to a car in front of you. The blind-spot monitoring feature even has a camera that allows you to see your blind-spot on the passenger's side of the vehicle.
The only aesthetic addition on the EX trim is a sunroof, which we know is a must-have for many car owners! Inside, you will enjoy heated front seats to keep you warm during those chilly Oklahoma mornings, as well as satellite radio! The EX also introduces HR-V owners to keyless entry and keyless ignition. It's a tremendous trim for entrepreneurs, families, or kids that are leaving for college.
EX-L
Last, but certainly not least, we have the 2022 Honda HR-V EX-L. Being the top-of-the-line trim, the EX-L contains all of the best features from each trim, including all of the safety features that we mentioned in the EX trim. In fact, it only adds a few minor (yet noticeable) improvements from the EX trim level, such as leather seats for the driver and all the passengers.
