The All-New 2026 Honda Passport

Honda took the theme of “born wild” to reimagine and design the Honda Passport to make it a truly adventure-driven, mid-size SUV. You’ll see that in its rugged design but also in its highly capable powertrain including the 3.5-L HOHC V6 engine paired with a high-strength 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 285 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque for superior power.

It also builds in second-generation i-VTM4 torque vectoring all wheel drive to enhance off-road capability (and it makes this feature standard). This year’s model also makes paddle shifters standard for manual control, which enhances the “fun” element of driving this vehicle. This mid-size SUV can pull as much as 5,000 pounds, which is more than others in its class and enough to pull a boat or smaller trailer easily.

The interior of the Honda Passport for 2026 boasts real-life features drivers need, including a clean and uncluttered layout with body-stabilizing power, adjustable heated front seats with memory as standard. It also extends the leg room in the second row to add more leg room. The interior has numerous trim-specific features, including leather-trimmed upholstery in the RTL and a sliding panoramic sunroof in the TrailSport. You can choose from eight colors, including two all-new colors: Sunset Orange and Ashe Green Metallic.

Built rugged also means providing enhanced safety and technology throughout. The technology within the 2026 Passport includes a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument panel display and a configurable multi-information display feature that offers selectable functions. That includes Honda Sensing settings. Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capability is present on all trims. The SUV also features 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability and Qi-compatible 15W wireless smartphone charger, all standard features.

The 2026 Passport's safety features include the most up-to-date version of the Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering architecture, a type of airbag technology that offers enhanced protection, and Honda Sensing for driver assist technologies. Those technologies are supported with a 90-degree field with a 4-degree wider field of view to improve collision mitigation. Other key safety features include the Traffic Jam Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition features as standard. Updates to the Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow and Lane Keeping Assist features have also made it to the 2026 Passport.

As the base model, the RTL is packed with excellent features, including the massive 3.5L V6 engine providing up to 285 horsepower and the i-VTM4 AWD system.

The inside offers impressive standard features as well, including Google Built-In, which provides for comprehensive Google connectivity. The power tailgate and roomy interior make it easy to use this mid-size SUV for day-to-day needs and weekend adventures alike.

Additional features include 18-inch alloy wheels, an acoustic windshield, and an active shutter grill. The availability of the collision mitigation braking system with advanced pedestrian detection enhances confidence while you tow.

The RTL Blackout Passport's impressively slick look is created by its 18-inch black alloy wheels and fully black wheel lug nuts. The full suite of black Honda badges helps give the car that serious, aggressive feel.

It offers the same features as the RTL, including heated front seats and LED headlights with daytime running lamps.

For adventure driving, the TrailSport offers critical features, including all-terrain tires and an off-road-tuned suspension system. It also has high-visibility recovery hooks and skid plates. For cold excursions, the heated windshield prioritizes visibility. The integrated class III trailer hitch with harness is standard.

Other upgrades include a panoramic moonroof, one-touch fold-down 60/40 split rear back seat, and roof rails. There are also two 115-volt power outlets available for charging on the adventure.

The TrailSport Blackout maintains the body and features of the TrailSport while enhancing the look of this vehicle. That includes providing black wheel lug nuts and 18-inch black alloy wheels. Everything inside and out features black Honda badges.

It’s fully tuned for off-road adventures, with a power tailgate, acoustic windshield, and ample cargo space, including hidden storage areas.

The highest-level trim from a feature standpoint is the Trailport Elite, which includes the second-generation TrailWatch for optimal tech-infused performance for off-roading fun. It also features elevated sound with a Bose premium audio system.

Key features on the TrailSport Elite include heated and ventilated front seats, an integrated rear door sunshade, and the tri-zone automatic climate control system with second-row controls. The power tailgate with hands-free access and walk-away close are also excellent updates.
